It was issued on July 23, 2020, and officially came into effect on February 1, 2022, completely replacing the previous GB 21027-2007 standard.

2. Labeling Requirements
The standard stipulates that student supplies shall be marked on the product itself, its minimum packaging, or sales packaging with the statement: "This product is suitable for students aged 14 and below (including 14 years old)" or "Applicable age: 6 to 14 years". The marking shall be clear, legible, and durable.
